Pero despu\u00e9s de ver sus obras en vivo me sorprendi\u00f3 mucho la textura, la estructura y esa sensaci\u00f3n aterciopelada que proven\u00eda de los pigmentos de sus obras de arte. Stratis<\/a>, Conservadora de Grabados y Dibujos en el Instituto de Arte de Chicago, de 1995, sobre el trabajo en Pastel de Odilon Redon, y sus llamados &#8220;Noirs&#8221; en particular. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"ES\">El estudio se realiz\u00f3 sobre una gran cantidad de colecciones p\u00fablicas y privadas en los Estados Unidos y en el extranjero. Se trataba de descubrir los materiales y soportes que utilizaba el artista, sus procesos de trabajo y las modificaciones que estaba haciendo a lo largo de su carrera y con el paso del tiempo. Red\u00f3n us\u00f3 los llamados fijadores Pastel en grandes cantidades para acumular capas y capas, una sobre otra, a partir de una base de negros compuestos de carb\u00f3n y l\u00e1piz. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"ES\">Curiosamente, sus \u00faltimos trabajos carecen por completo de fijador, que gradualmente dej\u00f3 de lado al final de su vida &#8230; Es inusual encontrar art\u00edculos en Internet que revelen las t\u00e9cnicas de los antiguos maestros e informaci\u00f3n sobre su forma de abordar los materiales.
