La modelo del retrato, una se\u00f1ora muy mayor ya, deseaba restaurar, limpiar y reenmarcar la obra. A veces incluso mas que un oleo por ser una t\u00e9cnica que no necesita ni m\u00e9diums (varnices, etc.) ni grunds (gesso) especiales. La pintura en pastel realmente puede ser sorprendentemente duradera. El dibujo estuvo durante todo este largo tiempo en su marco original. Una tabla ligera de madera, seguramente barnizada, soportaba el dibujo directamente por la parte de atr\u00e1s sin ninguna otra protecci\u00f3n en medio. No hab\u00eda ning\u00fan cart\u00f3n de soporte que hiciese de aislante. Para mi resultaron imposibles de quitar. Ni siquiera es posible aplicar una capa de Pastel encima del antiguo dibujo ya que el papel aceitoso lo repele y siempre quedan las manchas. Tal vez la \u00fanica manera ser\u00eda tratar de absorber los puntos con talco o con varios tratamientos con papel absorbente, lo que llevar\u00eda tiempo y mucho trabajo.
