Pastel Portrait process of a very charismatic girl

This is a Pastel portrait I ´m very happy with!

The girl is really beautiful in a graceful way and because of that, it was quite difficult and delicate to capture her well… I´ve enjoyed making her portrait and fortunately, I have several pictures taken during the process.

I´ve worked this painting on Canson  Mi -Teintes grey pastel paper and I used a lot of my own soft pastels. 🙂 🙂

The luminosity of this portrait comes from her regard.

Hope you´ll enjoy this post!

I took my time to make a careful study drawing as a base for this Pastel portrait. After that, I started to work on the light.

Working on the darkest part of her hair… I am trying to do this part very carefully, keeping the skin tones as clean as possible.
