Visiting Málaga art museums! The “Revello de Toro Museum”

Visiting Malaga museums!

Visiting museums is one of my favorite hobbies.

Especially painting museums where I can explore, learn and open up to new concepts or old recipes… The world of art is inexhaustible at 100% and one can learn from any experience, from any artist of each era, any time.

Always looking for our own style or new tools to make the personal journey … I had the opportunity to visit a couple of museums on a recent trip to Málaga I that I did not know about. Bathed by the sun, Málaga city is very open and friendly, full of art, interesting exhibitions and museums at popular prices. And of course an excellent meal! So there’s no excuse!

Of these two museums (What means 2 posts !!) I want to especially highlight one today, rather small, but very, very recommendable. The “Revello de Toro Museum”, by the painter Félix Revello de Toro. A Spanish portraitist, still alive, and born in Malaga in 1926.

Many of his intimate paintings reflect his passion for Oil painting and, especially, for the female figure. I like his strong and clean brush strokes, and how he defines color and light. Most of the works are portraits. But it also has different studies and still lifes very interested. Made with strong, firm and safe strokes.

This museum has 3 rooms that are not very large and they are changing exhibitions frequently with their own funds.

A very special surprise!!
