New Pastel portrait painting process on my YouTube channel, working with MAMUT handmade soft pastels

This is the last Soft Pastel portrait video I made for my Youtube Instructional channel. I have decided to edit this video in a different way this time.

It goes slower than the others and it is also larger… Almost 25 minutes! The double than my other pastel portrait videos. This is because several of the comments I read in my channel where about this concrete matter. That it woul be nice to see a real time video, to get more into the process and details.

The edition was difficult since I wanted to include several moments on the portrait painting process that I found interesting, without making it too large or “boring”… Also, a large video needs more background music, edition, time…But I think I got a good and interesting result. On the other side, the model is a young child with a very fresh expression and attitude.

To make this portrait I have used a Canson Paper and Mamut soft Pastels. A new Soft Pastels brand, for which I have been collaborating and advising in its development for the last two years. Most of my portraits of the last year and a half where made with this brand. Mamut Pastels are soft, creamy and very easy going…

Hello Sylviane, I use several different colors during the work so it would be complicated to explain or enumerate them here…But I am sure you can get an idea watching the video. 🙁 Regards
